The idea of the game is to survive your first night, craft items, mine to the core of you randomly generated land, fight monsters and create whatever you want. The race against dusk is a fast one and any dark area, even if it isn't night, will spawn creatures, such as skeletons that shoot arrows, spiders which can be either peaceful or hostile, creepers which are green have four legs and no arms and explode when at a close enough distance.
